What Is God?

Front Cover
2 Reviews
Doubleday, 1996 - 60 pages
In this moving work, the bestselling author of Joshua and Never Alone explains that God can be found in the splendor of all Creation: in the warm rays of the sun in winter; the radiance of newly fallen snow; the magnificent design of a snowflake. Internationally acclaimed artist Leslie Wu's delicate paintings serve as a perfect accompaniment to Father Girzone's words.

This is somewhat of a children's book, yet it captures the concept of God as seen in all of His creation. Stop and notice; be still. Read full review

About the author (1996)

Joseph F. Girzone is the author of several best-selling religious children's books. Born on May 15, 1930, in Albany, N.Y., he received a theology degree from Catholic University of America in 1955 and was ordained a priest that same year. He served for many years as a teacher, pastor, and community leader, until ill health forced him to curtail his activities. He turned to writing to help support himself. Girzone has written several books, including his most famous, Joshua. Joshua, the story of the return of Jesus Christ to Earth in the 1980's, helps to spread the loving and caring teachings of Christ in contemporary society. Girzone faced many difficulties getting Joshua published. He took a job as a computer salesman to publish the book himself, and began selling the books through direct contact and word of mouth, finally gaining the notice of the large retail book chains.

Wu graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
