An ordinance to transfer one hundred fifty ($150.00) dollars from fund 75-E for equipment maintenance to 75-B for supplies, department of buildings.

Whereas, the subject matter herein provided for constitutes an emergency by way of providing for the usual daily operation of municipal departments.

Section 1. Be it ordained by the council of the city of Cleveland, state of Ohio: that one hundred fifty ($150.00) dollars be and the same is hereby transferred from 75-E for equipment maintenance to 75-B for supplies, departments of buildings.

And said amount is hereby available for immediate use and is in addition to all other sums heretofore appropriated for said purpose.

Sec. 2. That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval by the mayor. Passed July 2, 1917.

An ordinance determining to proceed with the construction of a sewer and its appurtenances in E. 133rd st., between Miles ave. S. E. and Marston ave. S. E., and to assess a tax therefor, as per estimated assessment report No. 2778.

Whereas, the board of revision of assessments has reported to this council the necessity for this improvement, and recommended estimated assessment report No. 2778 on the 18th day of June, 1917, after due consideration and public hearing; and

Whereas, the director of public service has fixed 30 years as the estimated life of this improvement; therefore

Be it ordained by the council of the city of Cleveland, state of Ohio, three-fourths of all members thereof concurring:

Section 1. That it is hereby determined to proceed with the construction of a vitrified pipe sewer and its necessary appurtenances in E. 133rd st., between Miles ave. S. E. and Marston ave. S. E., pursuant to a resolution adopted by the council on the 26th day of March, 1917, and that for the purpose of paying the cost and expense thereof there is hereby levied a special tax upon the several lots and parcels of land designated in and in accordance with estimated assessment No. 2778, as made for that purpose and reported to this council by the board of revision of assessments on the 18th day of June, 1917, and which was made on the basis of special benefits conferred by said improvement on the several lots and parcels of land therein described.

Sec. 2. That the owners of the several lots and parcels of land included in said assessment shall pay the amounts from them severally due as shown by "column No. 3" of said estimated assessment No. 2778 to the city treasurer on or before the 1st day of August, 1917, and in default thereof said tax shall be payable to the county treasurer in five (5) equal annual installments with the regular taxes of 1917, 1918, 1919, 1920, 1921.

Sec. 3. That bonds or notes of the city of Cleveland shall be issued in anticipation of the collection of assessments by installments.

Sec. 4. That all claims for damages by reason of said improvement

An ordinance determining to proceed with the improvement of Scranton rd. S. W. between Parafine ave. S. W. and Clark ave. S. W., by grading, draining, curbing, repaving with paving brick on concrete and improving as per estimated assessment No. 2471 and to assess a tax therefor.

Whereas, the board of revision of assessmenth has reported to this council the necessity for this improvement, and recommended the estimated assesment report No. 2471 after due consideration and public hearing, and

Whereas, the director of public service has fixed 15 years as the estimated life of this improvement; therefore

Be it ordained by the council of the city of Cleveland, state of Ohio, three-fourths of all members thereof concurring:

Section 1. That it is hereby determined to proceed with the improvement of Scranton rd. S. W., between Parafine ave. S. W. and Clark ave. S. That the owners of the several lots and parcels of land included in said assessment shall pay the amounts from them severally due, as shown by "column No. 3" of said estimated assessment No. 2471 to the city treasurer on or before the 1st day of July, 1917, and in default thereof said tax, with interest at the rate of 5 per cent per annum, payable annually in advance on deferred payments shall be payable to the county treasurer in five (5) equal annual installments with the regular taxes of 1917, 1918, 1919, 1920, 1921.

Sec. 3 That bonds or notes of the city of Cleveland shall be issued in anticipation of the collection of assessments by installments.

Sec. 4. That all claims for damages by reason of said improvement shall be adjudged after the completion of the same.

Sec. 5. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by aw. (G. R. 9544).

An ordinance determining to proceed with the improvement of Broadway ave. S. E., between E. 34th st. and point 1145 feet westerly by grading, draining, curbing, repaving with D. B. stone on concrete and improving as per estimated assessment No. 2779, and to assess a tax therefor.

Whereas, the board of revision of assessments has reported to this council the necessity for this improvement, and recommended the estimated assessment report No. 2779 after due consideration and public hearing; and

Whereas, the director of public service has fixed 30 years as the estimated life of this improvement; therefore

Be it ordained by the council of the city of Cleveland, state of Ohio, three-fourths of all members thereof concurring:

Section 1. That it is hereby determined to proceed with the improvement of Broadway ave. S. E., between E. 34th st. and point 1145 feet westerly by grading, draining, curbing, repaving with D. B. stone on concrete and improving, pursuant to a resolution adopted by the council on the 12th day of March, 1917, and that for the purpose of paying the cost and expense thereof there is hereby levied a special tax upon the several lots and parcels of land designated in and in accordance with estimated assessment No. 2779 as made for that purpose and reported to this council by the board of revision of assessments on the 18th day of June, 1917. and which was made on the basis of special benefits conferred by said improvement, on the several lots and parces of land therein described.

Whereas, the director of public service has fixed 30 years as the estimated life of this improvement; therefore

Be it ordained by the council of the city of Cleveland, state of Ohio, three-fourths of all members thereof concurring:

Section 1. That it is hereby determined to proceed with the construction of a brick sewer and its necessary appurtenances in E 116th st.. between Corlett ave. S. E.. and Farringdon ave. S. E.. pursuant to a resolution adopted by the council on the 28th day of May, 1917, and that for the purpose of paying the cost and expense thereof there is hereby levied a special tax upon the several lots and parcels of land designated in and in accordance with estimated assessment No. 2789. as made for that purpose and renorted to this council by the board of revision of assessments on the 2nd day

of July, 1917, and which was made on the basis of special benefits conferred by said improvement on the several lots and parcels of land therein described.

Sec. 2. That the owners of the several lots and parcels of land included in said assessment shall pay the amounts from them severally due, as shown by "column No. 3" of said estimated assessment No. 2789 to the city treasurer on or before the 1st day of August, 1917, and in default thereof said tax shall be payable to the county treasurer in five (5) equal annual installments with the regular taxes of 1917, 1918, 1919, 1920, 1921.

Section 1. That it is hereby determined to proceed with the construction of a brick sewer and its necessary appurtenances in Corlett ave. S. E., between East blvd. and E. 131st st., pursuant to a resolution adopted by the council on the 11th day of June, 1917, and that for the purpose of paying the cost and expense thereof there is hereby levied a special tax upon the several lots and parcels of land designated in, and in accordance with estimated assessment No. 2788, as made for that purpose and reported to this council by the board of revision of assessments on the 2nd day of July, 1917, and which was made. on the basis of special benefits conferred by said improvement on the several lots and parcels of land therein described.
