The regular meeting of the board of control was called to order by Mayor Davis at 10:00 a. m., Monday, September 10, 1917.

Present: Mayor Davis, Directors FitzGerald, Bernstein, Beman, Sprosty and Neal.

Absent: Director Farrell.

The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as presented and on motion of the president the following resolutions were adopted:

File No. 4883.

By Director Bernstein.

Resolved, that the director of public service be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into contract with the Hanna Estate Company, the lowest and best bidder, August 31st, 1917, for the construction of a sewer in W. 23rd st., from Kenneth ave. S. W. to the old city limits, in accordance with its bid for the same, approximately $436.00.

Resolved, by the board of control, that contract No. 11776, with The Walter P. Gibbons Contracting Company, amounting to approximately $75,000.00, covering the construction of a sewer in W. 117th st. from Berea rd. N. W. to Lorain ave., be and the same is hereby approved.

Resolved, by the board of control, that the commissioner of purchases and supplies be and he is hereby authorized and directed to purchase the following described real estate from the owner, Noah S. Good,

needed for opening and widening E. 117th st. and being described as follows:

Beginning at the intersection of a line 30 feet southerly at right angles from the northerly line of said original lot No. 363 with the westerly line of E. 117th st. produced northerly in a direct line as said E. 117th st. was established in L. M. Southern's Victoria Park subdivision and recorded in volume 31, page 21 of Cuyahoga county record of maps; thence southerly along said production northerly of said westerly line of E. 117th st. to the northwesterly corner of E. 117th st. as dedicated by plat recorded in volume 50, page 34 of Cuyahoga county record of maps; thence easterly along the northerly line of said E. 117th st. as recorded in volume 50, page 34 of Cuyahoga county record of maps 68 feet to the northeasterly corner thereof; thence northerly parallel with the first described line to a point 30 feet southerly at right angles from the northerly line of said original lot No. 363; thence westerly 68 feet to the place of beginning.

Beginning at the northeasterly corner of said original lot No. 363; thence westerly along the northerly line of said original lot No. 363 to the northeasterly corner of a parcel of land dedicated by L. M. Southern as a part of Sellers ave. N. E. by plat recorded in volume 50, page 34 of Cuyahoga county record of maps; thence southerly along the easterly line of land dedicated as aforesaid by L. M.
