CITIES

CALHOUN COUNTY.

In the matter of the annexation of the village of Washington Heights to the city of Battle Creek.

Annexed by the board of supervisors under the provisions of Act 279, P. A. 1909, as amended, and consisting of the following described territory:

Section thirty-six (36) and the east one-half of section thirty-five (35) of town one (1) south, range eight (8) west, being situate in the southeast corner of the township of Bedford, county of Calhoun, state of Michigan, and immediately adjacent to the city of Battle Creek, in said county and state, and the whole of the south line of said village being coincident with the westerly end of the north line of said city.

The question of annexation of the above described territory was submitted to the electors at a special election held April 5, 1926, and was adopted by the following vote: In the village of Washington Heights, the total vote cast was 443, of which 287 votes were cast for, and 156 votes were cast against said annexation. In the city of Battle Creek, the total vote cast was 5,352, of which 4,253 votes were cast for, and 1,099 votes were cast against said annexation.

CALHOUN COUNTY.

In the matter of the annexation of certain territory from Bedford township to the city of Battle Creek.

Annexed by the board of supervisors under the provisions of Act 279, P. A. 1909, as amended, and consisting of the following described territory, to-wit:

Beginning at the south quarter (4) post of section thirty-five (35), town one (1) south, range eight (8) west, thence west on the south line of Bedford township to a point distant one thousand six hundred seventy-two (1672) feet west of the southeast corner of section thirtythree (33) of said township of Bedford, thence north parallel with the east line of said section thirty-three (33) and along the west line of "LaMora Park", according to the recorded plat thereof, to a point distant nine hundred thirty-eight and one-half (9382) feet north of the east and west quarter (4) section line of section twenty-eight (28) of said township of Bedford; thence east to the northwest corner of the recorded

plat of "W. E. Taylor's addition to Urbandale", thence east, south and east along the north boundary of said plat of “W. E. Tavlor's addition to Urbandale" to the west line of the Bedford Road (sometimes known as M-37), thence south and southeasterly along the west line of said Road to the east and west quarter (1) line of section twenty-seven (27) of Bedford township, thence east along the east and west quarter (1) lines of sections twenty-seven (27) and twenty-six (26) of said township to the center of said section twenty-six (26), thence south along the north and south quarter lines of sections twenty-six (26) and thirty-five (35) of said township of Bedford to the place of beginning.

The question of the annexation of the above described territory was submitted to the electors at an election held April 4, 1927, and was adopted by the following vote: Whole number of votes cast in the city of Battle Creek and in that part of Bedford township not to be annexed was 8.225, of which 5,076 votes were cast for, and 3,119 votes were cast against said annexation. Whole number of votes cast in that part of Bedford township proposed to be annexed was 361, of which 253 votes were cast for, and 108 votes were cast against said annexation.

INGHAM COUNTY.

In the matter of the annexation of certain territory to the city of East Lansing.

Also commencing at the center of the east line of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of section 12, thence west to a point 32 feet east of the center of said southeast quarter of section 12, thence south to the south line of said section 12, thence east to the center line of Park street in the plat of Oakwood as extended north, thence north to a point 372.5 feet south of the center line of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of said section 12, thence east to the east line of said section 12, thence north to the place of beginning, all of said parcels being on section twelve, town four north, range two west, (Lansing township), Ingham county, Michigan, and within this school district.

The question of the annexation of the above described territory was submitted to the electors at the general election held November 2, 1926, and was adopted by the following vote: In the city and township voting collectively, there were 988 votes cast for, and 392 votes cast against said annexation. In the territory to be annexed, there was one vote cast for said annexation, and none were cast against it.

INGHAM COUNTY.

In the matter of the annexation of certain territory to the city of East Lansing.

Annexed by the board of supervisors under the provisions of Act 279, P. A. 1909, as amended, and consisting of the following described territory, to-wit:

Commencing at the section corner common to section 11, 12, 13 and 14, T. 4 N., R. 2 W., Lansing township, Ingham county, Michigan, thence south on the W. line of section 13 to the center line of Grand River avenue; thence easterly in the center line of said Grand River avenue to the southwest corner of Chesterfield Hills No. 3, a recorded plat; thence north along the west line of said plat to the N. W. corner thereof; thence north along the N. and S. g line of the S. W. quarter of section 12, 973 feet; thence west to the west line of section 12; thence south on the section line 973 feet to beginning, being part of the W. 1/2 of the S. W. 1/4 of section 12 and part of the W. 12 of the N. W. 1/4 of section 13, T. 4 N., R. 2 W.

The question of the annexation of the above described territory was submitted to the electors at a special election held May 24, 1927, and was adopted by the following vote: In the city and township voting collectively, there were 702 votes cast for, and 156 votes cast against said annexation. In the territory to be annexed, there were 2 votes cast for said annexation, and none were cast against it.

Also, the west one-half of the east one-half of the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter of section 13, town four north of range two west.

The question of the annexation of the above described territory was submitted to the electors at a special election held May 24, 1927, and
