Bread of Thy life-giving Presence. art with me.

Thou

Let Thy Body and Thy Blood

continually preserve me.

Amen.

A PRAYER FOR GRACE

The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: yea, it is even He that shall keep thy soul

LORD our God, grant that I may lean

Grace, casting all my care on Thee, careful for nothing, but to think upon Thy Commandments to do them; that bearing within my heart Thy wondrous Gift that comforteth man's soul unto eternal life, I may bravely fight beneath the Royal Banner, against the sin that doth so easily beset me; and fast clinging to the Blessed Master, with His Image ever growing in my soul, His Divine Sympathies mingling with my infirmities, may run the Way of Thy Commandments; patiently suffering, if need be, for my Lord; that when the most sure word of Angelic Prophecy is fulfilled, and the Same Jesus Whom I have mystically received, descendeth in like manner as He went up into Heaven, when every eye, in horror or in ecstasy, must behold His unveiled Face,-when His glory shall be revealed, I may be glad with exceeding joy. O hear me, for His dear Sake. Amen.

A THANKSGIVING

Now unto the King, eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen

GL

LORY be unto Thee, O Lord God, for ever and ever, and blessed be the Name of Thy Majesty, which is exalted far above all blessing and praise.

Thou, even Thou, art Lord alone; Thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and Thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth Thee. And Thou healest the broken in heart, and bindest up all their wounds.

Glory be unto Thee, O God most Holy, for creating man in Thine own Image, for Thy mighty work of redeeming love, Thy marvellous miracles of grace.

Glory be unto Thee, O God the Father Almighty, for my creation, preservation, for all the many blessings of this life, for all the love Thou hast given me, and for all my gifts of mind and body.

Glory be unto Thee, for all the known or unknown deliverances Thou hast vouchsafed me and mine, and for the guarding care of Thy holy Angels.

I

Glory be unto Thee, O Heavenly Father. Who didst call me to the knowledge of Thy Son, Whom to know is to love, and to love is life everlasting.

Glory be unto Thee, Who didst make me a member of His Mystical Body, of that sacred and gifted Society He founded while He dwelt among men.

Glory be unto Thee, O Heavenly Father, for the marvellous love Thou hast bestowed on me that I should be called Thy child.

Glory be unto Thee, Who didst make me an heir through hope of Thy heavenly kingdom.

Glory be to Thee, O heavenly Father, Who didst move me to come to Thee in Holy Confirmation; to confess before men the Lord Whom I loved, for myself to seek the blessed increase of Thy Spirit.

Yea, I will alway be giving Thee thanks for that Thou hast done; and I will hope in Thy Name, for Thy saints love it well.

Glory be to Thee, O Heavenly Father, for Thy tender care for my salvation, in bestowing on me the sacred Pledges of Thy Love in the life-giving Eucharist; wherein as of old the Incarnate Lord still feeds exceeding great multitudes, feeds the souls of those He loved unto the Death.

Glory be unto Thee. O merciful Lord God, Who dost thereby give me a blissful foretaste of the joys of those realms where He now is,

-a mystic foreshadowing of that blessed and final union, when, whether summoned forth from the holy calm of Paradise, or borne aloft on upbearing clouds, the servants of Thy Holy One shall enter their Redeemer's Presence, to dwell with Him for evermore.

Praise the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me praise His glorious Name.

For this God shall be my God for ever and ever, He shall be my Guide, even unto Death. Amen.

A PRAYER FOR PERSEVERANCE

THO

Be strong, fear not

`HOU, O Lord, art my Redeemer, Thy Name is from everlasting; neither is there salvation in any other. By that holy Name I am called. I am Thine,-one of those of whom Thou didst speak those words of true heavenly comfort, And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold; them also must I bring, and they shall hear My Voice, and there shall be one fold, and One Shepherd. How speakest Thou, O Good Shepherd? Blessed are the poor in spirit; blessed are the pure in heart; blessed are the merciful; blessed are they who have not seen, and yet if have believed. Happy are ye know these things, blessed are ye if ye do them. O make me a doer of Thy Word.
