The portraits in many cases were specially photographed by the Stereoscopic Company for reproduction in this Album, and the autographs for the most part embody the Saying, Quotation, Verse, or Maxim which has been most helpful to the writer. Seven years ago, an Album of Portraits and Autographs was published in connection with the REVIEW OF REVIEWS, which went through several editions, more than 30,000 copies having been sold.
