He married Thankslord Perkins (ca. 1612-1678) ca. 1632. They had seven children, ca. 1633-1653. The family immigrated to America in 1635. He died at Charlestown, Massachusetts. His descendant of the fifth generation, Samuel Shepard (1769-1842), was born at Tolland, Connecticut, the son of Jonathan and Mary Underwood Shepard. His family migrated to Alstead, New Hampshire, later in 1769 and to Windsor, Vermont, in 1778. He moved to Charlestown, New Hampshire, in 1790. He married Hannah Fuller (1775-1850) there in 1795. They moved to Sharon, Vermont, soon after their marriage. They had eight children, ca. 1796-ca. 1820. The family migrated to West Pulteney (now Riga), New York, in 1806. Children and grandchildren lived in New York, Ohio, Michigan, and elsewhere. |
