T. Adams' wharf, at an angle of 105° 31' with the last named line, to a point on the range of a line 10 feet from the easterly face of said wharf and parallel therewith; which said point is 205.82 feet distant from the nearest point of the harbor line of the east side of the river; thence running southerly, more westerly, at an angle of 103° 42′ 48′′ with the last named line, 2078.06 feet to a point distant 352.02 feet from the nearest point in the harbor line of the east side of the river.

Third-In Pawtucket, on the east side of the river, beginning at the high tide line at the foot of the Main street falls, and following the line of mean high water in a southerly direction to the southwest corner of Darius Goff's old mill, which said point is distant 120.10 feet from the northeast corner of James and Joseph T. Greene's mill, herein before described; thence running southerly 215.26 feet to a point at the top of the face of the river wall opposite to the southwest corner of Darius Goff's new mill, which said point is distant 97.42 feet from the nearest point of the harbor line of the west side of the river, as is herein before described; thence running southerly, more easterly, at an angle of 172° 51′ 50 with the last named line 117.81 feet to the end of the top of the face of the river wall as now built, which said point is distant 100.39 feet from the nearest point of the harbor line of the west side of the river; thence running southerly, more easterly, at an angle of 172° 21′ 23" with the last named line 513.71 feet, to a point distant 149.85 feet

All as shown upon a plat of harbor lines in Pawtucket river, designed January 17, 1878, by the harbor commissioners, and on file in their office.

Having given notice of times and the place for hearing all persons interested in said harbor lines, by publishing the same in the Providence Journal, thirty days previous thereto, hearings were held, and parties interested in the shore property for nearly the whole distances affected by these lines appeared and favored the lines as now submitted for approval.

The harbor commissioners, therefore, recommend that the aforesaid lines be confirmed and established as harbor lines.

RESOLUTION approving the Harbor Lines in Seekonk
River in the City of Providence, and in Pawtucket Passed April
River in the Town of Pawtucket, pursuant to the
foregoing report.

Resolved, That the harbor lines as marked and platted by the harbor commissioners, in the accompanying report and plats marked "A" and "a pectively, be and the same are hereby approved.

RESOLUTION for appropriation for repairs and fitting Passed April up the clerk's office in the Bristol County Court 8, 1878. House.

Resolved, (the senate concurring.) That a sum not to exceed two hundred dollars be and the same hereby is appropriated for repairs and fitting up the clerk's office in the Bristol county court-house, the same to be expended under the direction of a committee consisting of Messrs. Samuel P. Colt and William H. Spooner, of Bristol, on the part of the house, and Mr. Augustus O. Bourn, of Bristol, on the part of the senate; and the state auditor is hereby empowered to draw his order on the general treasurer for the expense of the same, not exceeding the above amount, in favor of said committee.

RESOLUTION for appropriation to Companies A and B, Third Battalion, First Brigade, R. I. State Militia, (The Westerly Rifles.)

Resolved, That the sum of two thousand dollars be, and the same hereby is appropriated for the repairs of the armory of companies A and B, third battalion, first brigade, R. I. state militia,-the Westerly Rifles,(provided the said companies raise an additional sum of one thousand dollars,) to be expended for repairs on said armory; said sum to be expended under the direction of Senator Samuel H. Cross, of Westerly; and the state auditor is hereby directed to draw his order on the general treasurer for said sum of two thousand dollars payable to the order of said Samuel H. Cross, on receiving a certificate from said Samuel H. Cross, that said sum of one thousand dollars has been raised by said companies as above provided.

RESOLUTION Confirming the acts of J. Henry Hill, a commissioner for this State in Massachusetts.

Upon the petition of J. Henry Hill, of Worcester, in the commonwealth of Massachusetts, representing that he was appointed and commissioned as a commissioner for this state in said commonwealth in

A. D. 1849, and has continued until the seventeenth day of November, A. D. 1877, to act as such commissioner without re-appointment, as was required by chapter 617, of the public laws, passed at the January session A. D. 1866, having received no notice of the change in the law as was provided in said chapter 617, and praying that all his official acts as such commissioner may be confirmed and validated.

Resolved, That said petition be, and the same is hereby granted, and that all acts, matters and things done or performed by the said J. Henry Hill, as a commissioner for this state in the commonwealth of Massachusetts until the seventeenth day of Novem
