The total disbursements of dividends since the appointment of a receiver, Aug. 11th, 1874, amounts to $1,972,253.17, with dividends uncalled for to date of $12,617.36, declared dividends being seventy-two per cent. of the deposits. The aggregate of deposits and number of depositors in the various Institutions for Savings may be found on page 74; a summary of their condition on page 75; a table showing the largest amount due to any one depositor on page 76; with a table giving amount of deposits and number of depositors for ten years, from 1868 to 1877 inclusive, on pages 78 and 79. Returns from fifteen State Banks are also appended, showing same capital employed as given at date of returns for previous year, twelve being located in Providence and three in Newport.
