been occupied by patients. Since June of this year, 203 visits to the farm have been made by patients who were driven out in carriages, dined and returned to the hospital in the evening. Parties of 8 patients were also entertained at the annex for periods of a week during the summer. Owing to increased applications for admission the managers have found it necessary to increase the hospital accommodation, and accordingly, plans were presented and approved by the committee for an extension of the department for females by a new ward building.
