The year begins on the day nearest to the Autumnal Equinox, therefore it varied a day, or even two. There were 12 months of 30 days each, with 5 complementary days at the end. Every Fourth or Olympic year has a sixth complementary day, as in our leap year. It was to be called Revolution Day.
