Isa. xii. 1. 1 I WILL praise thee every day, Now thine anger's turn'd away! From the bleeding sacrifice. Wells of free salvation yield soul shall thirst no more. 3 Jesus is become at length, My salvation and my strength; While I live, my pleasant song. Publish his exalted fame! Excellent are all his deeds. Let the nations roll it round! 422. L.M.-Praise to God through the whole of our Existence. Ps. cxlvi. 2. 1 GOD of my life, through all its days My grateful powers shall sound thy praise; The song shall wake with opening light, And warble to the silent night. 2 When anxious cares would break my rest, And griefs would tear my throbbing breast, Thy tuneful praises rais'd on high Shåll check the murmur and the sigh. 3 When death o'er nature shall prevail, And all its powers of language fail, And mean the thanks I cannot speak. 4 But oh! when that last conflict's o'er, And I am chain’d to flesh no more, To join the music of the skies! Each bright, each dreary scene, Give me a meek and humble mind, Still equal and serene. 7 Then should I close my eyes in death, Without one anxious fear; If thou art with me there. 424. Supports the weight of sea and land, No heart shall break that sighs for more. 2 Thy providence supplies my food, And 'tis thy blessing makes it good; Let soul and body praise the Lord. From him who built this earthly frame; By whom my soul for ever lives. Or, if I feel it, heals again; Beneath the gratitude I owe! 425. For the love that crowns our days; Let thy praise our tongues employ. 2 For the blessings of the field, For the stores the gardens yield; For the generous olive's use: Yellow sheaves of ripen’d grain; 4 All that spring with bounteous hand Scatters o'er the smiling land; From her rich o'erflowing stores: 5 These to thee, my God, we owe; Source whence all our blessings flow; Grateful vows and solemn praise. 6 Yet should rising whirlwinds tear From its stem the ripening ear; Drop her green untimely fruit; Nor the olive yield her store; And the herds desert the stall; The early and the latter rain: And the rising year destroy: Grateful vows and solemn praise; 426.
