ND Naomi had a kinsman m of her husband's, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was 6 Boaz.

And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean o ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter.

And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech.

And, behold, Boaz came from Beth. lehem, and said unto the reapers, p The LORD be with you. And they r answered him, The LORD bless thee.

Then said Boaz unto his servant that was set over the reapers, Whose damse is this?

And the servant that was set over the reapers answered and said, It is the Moabitish damsel that came back with Naomi out of the country of Moab:

And she said, I pray you, let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves: so she came, and hath continued even from the morning until now, that she tarried a little in the house.

Then said Roaz unto Ruth, Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another field, neither w go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens:

Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that

And when she was risen up to glean, Roaz commanded his young men, saying, Let her glean even among the sheaves, and 6 reproach o her not:

And let fall also some of the handfuls of purpose for her, and leave them, that she may glean them, and rebuke her not. 17 So she gleaned in the field until even, and beat out that she had gleaned: and it was about an ephah of barley.

And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Did I plainly appear d unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh's house?

And did I choose him g out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give iunto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel? 29 Wherefore kick n ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?

Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said q indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk be fore me for ever: but now r.the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them & that honour me I will honour, and they that despise t me shall be lightly esteemed.

And thou shalt see 1 an enemy in my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in thine house for ever.

And the man of thine, whom I shall not cut off from mine altar, shall be to consume thine eyes, and to grieve thine heart: and all the increase of thine house shall die 3 in the flower of their age. 34 And this shall be a sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas: in one day they shall die w both of them.

And y I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart, and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine Anointed for ever. 36 And it shall come to pass. that every one that is left in thine house shall come and crouch to him for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and shall say, 4 Put me, I pray thee, into 5 one of the priests offices, that I may eat a piece of bread.
