BE EHOLD, I offered up Myself wholly unto My FATHER for thee, and gave My whole Body and Blood for thy food, that I might be wholly thine, and that thou mightest continue Mine for ever. Offer up thyself unto Me, and give thyself wholly for GOD, and thy offering shall be accepted. I WILL fear no evil, for Thou art with me. Thou shalt prepare a table before me against them that trouble me: Thou hast anointed my head with oil, and my cup shall be full. H Now shall He lift up mine head : Above mine enemies round about me; Therefore will I offer in His dwelling an oblation with great gladness : I will sing and speak praises unto the E hath given meat unto them that fear Him, LORD, our Heavenly FATHER, Almighty Thee, the devotion of Thy humble servants, who do now celebrate the Memorial which Thy SON our SAVIOUR hath commanded to be made of His most blessed Passion and Sacrifice; that by the merits and powers thereof now re-presented before Thy Divine Majesty, we and all Thy whole Church may obtain remission of our sins, and be made partakers of the benefits of His most precious Death and Passion, together with His mighty Resurrection from the earth, and His glorious Ascension into Heaven, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee and the HOLY GHOST, ever One GOD, world without end. Amen. MAY AY that which shall be offered up to Thee, O LORD, be accepted for mercy upon the whole world, for all them for whom CHRIST offered up Himself a Sacrifice upon the Altar of the Cross, especially for [here name any object you have very much at heart, or any names of persons for whom you desire special blessings], for the glory of Thy Name, and for the coming of the HOLY GHOST, that He may be pleased to visit and enlighten our hearts. Amen. This mention of particular objects and persons is commonly called the Direction of the Intention. Make up your mind beforehand what you specially desire, either for yourself or others, or for the furtherance of any good work, and ask God for that after the Consecration. ALMIGHTY LORD, Who hast of Thine in finite mercy vouchsafed to ordain this great Sacrament for a perpetual Memorial before the FATHER of that Blessed Sacrifice which once Thou madest for us upon the Cross; grant me with such diligent remembrance and such due reverence to assist at the holy Celebration of so heavenly and wonderful a Mystery, that I may be made worthy, by Thy grace, to obtain the virtue and fruits of the same, with all the benefits of Thy precious Death and Passion, even the remission of all my sins, and the fulness of all Thy graces, which I beg for Thy only merits, Who art my only SAVIOUR, GOD from everlasting, and world without end. THAN HANKS be unto Thee, O CREATOR and REDEEMER of mankind, Who to manifest Thy love to the whole world hast prepared a great Supper, wherein Thou hast set before us to be eaten, not the typical Lamb, but Thine own most sacred Body and Blood, rejoicing all the faithful with this holy Banquet, replenishing them to the full with the cup of salvation. But what return shall I make to the LORD for this grace, for love so unbounded? There is nothing that I am able to present more acceptable than to offer my heart wholly to my GOD, and to unite it closely to Him.
