When Angry Thoughts haunt the Mind. By from all evil and angry thoughts. Y Thy mighty power, O LORD, deliver me O LORD GOD, grant me Thy strong grace to overcome the angry feelings which beset me; help me to turn away my mind from them, and fill me with thoughts of Thy love in their place. Rule of Life. The following simple rules are suggested for young women, as bearing on their threefold relation to God; to themselves; and to the Christian Church. I. To use private prayer, kneeling, morning and evening. II. To practise short self-examination daily, and especially before Holy Communion. III. To receive the Holy Communion at stated intervals, to make a rule as to the frequency of reception, and to observe that rule with regularity; to make careful preparation for Holy Communion. IV. To go to church on Sunday morning (if possible) as well as evening. V. To make their daily work a subject of prayer, and the best way of doing their work their study. VI. Tolook on their common work as GOD'sservice, and to do it all "as unto the LORD." VII. To be modest in conduct and dress, and pure in talk, and to try to check all impurity of conduct and conversation in others; especially in those younger than themselves. VIII. To avoid being out late at nights unnecessarily. IX. To abstain from reading bad books and accounts of bad things in newspapers; from going to places of low amusement; and from companions likely to lead into sin. X. To be truthful in word and action, honest, kind, and helpful to others. XI. To try to spread GOD's Kingdom, especially in their own parish, and (if pos sible) to do some special work for GOD.
