MONDAY.-Matt. iv. 1.—Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. TUESDAY.-Heb. ii. 18.—For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succor them that are tempted. WEDNESDAY.-1 Cor. x. 13.—There hath no temptation taken you but such is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. THURSDAY.-Matt. vi. 13.--And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil : FRIDAY.-Luke xxii. 40.—And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. SATURDAY.-Matt. xxvi. 41.—Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. SABBATH.-Rev. iii. 10.-Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. MONDAY.-Rev. xix. 11.—And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True; and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. TUESDAY.-1 Cor. ix. 25.—And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. WEDNESDAY.-1 Cor. ix. 26.-I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: THURSDAY.-1 Cor. ix. 27.—But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. FRIDAY.-Col. ii. 1.—For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh. SATURDAY.-Col. ii. 8.-Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. MONDAY.-PS. xcii. 13.-Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. TUESDAY.-PS. xcii. 14.-They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing ; WEDNESDAY.-Ps. xcii. 15.-To show that the Lord is upright: he is a rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. THURSDAY.-Luke xvii. 5.-And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
