MONDAY.-Ps. cxix. 165.-Great peace have they which love thy law and nothing shall offend them.

TUESDAY.—Isa. lxi. 3.-To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called Trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

WEDNESDAY.-Isa. xxvi. 3.—Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. THURSDAY.--John xiv. 27.-Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

FRIDAY.-Rom. v. 1.-Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

SATURDAY.-Rom. xv. 13.—Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

SABBATH.-2 Cor. xiii. 11.-Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

MONDAY.-Neh. viii. 10.-Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength. TUESDAY.-Ps. cxxvi. 5.-They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. WEDNESDAY.-Isa. xxxv. 10.—And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

THURSDAY.-Jer. xv. 16.-Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of Hosts. FRIDAY.-John iii. 29.-He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

SATURDAY.-John xv. 11.-These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. SABBATH.-Acts xiii. 52.-And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Ghost.

MONDAY.-Ps. lxxxiv. 7.-They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

TUESDAY.-PS. xcii. 12.-The righteous shall flourish like the palm. tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

WEDNESDAY.-Prov. iv. 18.-But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. THURSDAY.-John xv. 2.-Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

FRIDAY.-2 Thess. i. 3.-We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all towards each other aboundeth;

SATURDAY.-1 Pet. ii. 2.-As new born babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

SABBATH.-2 Pet. iii. 18.-But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Abiding in Christ.

LESSON XLIV.

MONDAY.-John xv. 4.-Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

TUESDAY.-John xv. 5.-I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing.

WEDNESDAY.-1 John ii. 28.-And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

THURSDAY.-John vi. 39.—And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

FRIDAY.-John x. 28. And I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

SATURDAY.-Rom. viii. 38.-For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

SABBATH.-Rom. viii. 39.-Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

MONDAY.-Heb. xi. 5.-By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had trans lated him for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

TUESDAY.-Matt. xxii. 32.-I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

WEDNESDAY.-2 Kings ii. 11.-And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

THURSDAY.-John xiv. 2.-In my father's house are many mansions: if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. FRIDAY.-John xiv. 3.-And if I go and prepare a place for you, will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

SATURDAY.-2 Cor. v. 6.-Therefore, we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord.

SABBATH.-2 Cor. v. 8.-We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
