preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the judge of quick and dead. Matt. xiii. 40. As therefore the tares are gathered and burnt in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. v. 41. demption, he doth certainly and effectually apply and com municate the samep; making intercession for themq, and re vealing unto them, in and by the word, the mysteries of falvationr; effectually perfuading them by his Spirit to believe and obey; and governing their hearts by his word and Spirit/; overcoming all their enemies by his almighty power and wisdom;

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

VIII. p John vi. 37. All that the Father giveth me, shall come to me; and him that cometh to me, I will in no wife cast out. v. 39. And this is the Father's will which hath fent me, that of all which he hath given me, I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again, at the last day. John x. 15. 9 1 John ii. 1. My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye fin not. And if any man fin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:v.2.and he is the propitiation for our fins: and not for ours only, but also for the fins of the whole world.
