XV. The mutual love between Jesus and his members, under the parable of the vine. Jesus comforteth his disciples against tribulation, by the promise of the Holy Ghost. THESE things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. 2 They shall put you out of the synagogues; yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you, will think that he doeth God service. 3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. 4 But these things have I told you, that, when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. XVII. Jesus prayeth to his Father to glorify him, 6 and to preserve his apostles, 11 in unity, 17 and in truth. CHAP. XVIII. 1 Judas betrayeth Jesus. 12 Jesus is taken, and led unto Annas and Caiaphas. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. 38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And, when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all. 39 But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover; will ye, therefore, that I release unto you the king of the Jews? 40 Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barab'bas. Now Barab'bas was a robber. Questions.
