PREFACE.

THE plan of this small work is one which is familiar to Law Students. It consists of an Introductory Chapter, briefly epitomising the various changes in the Law and Practice of Bankruptcy effected by the recent Act, followed by an exhaustive series of questions and answers on the Act, interspersed with a few on the law, practice, and procedure in bankruptcy selected from the questions which have been asked at the various examinations of the Incorporated Law Society, with such alterations as are necessary to adapt them to the altered state of the law. In an Appendix are placed a Time Table, a list showing the nature of the resolutions. necessary in particular cases, and a few sections of the new Act which have intentionally not been referred to in the former part of the work, but which are inserted in the Appendix, so that the student may have in this book all the provisions of the Act of any interest or service to him.

The Author trusts that the work may be of use to those for whom it is intended, and that his efforts to avoid any errors have been fairly successful.

WILLIAM J. S. SCOTT.
