Tuis volume is entirely practical in its nature. Though deeply conscious of its many imperfections, I venture to cherish the hope that the Spirit of the living God may be graciously pleased to use it for the spiritual ends designed ; and in a measure, at least, make its words and recorded Christian experience helpful and cheering to his children on their homeward way.
