HELEN ROWELL

our new Exchange Editor was born in Chicago, Illinois, September 10, 1887. She moved to Denver, Colorado, in 1897 where her home has been ever since. She was a graduate from Denver High School in 1905. The next four years were spent at the University of Denver. In 1909 she received the degrees of B.O. and B.A. Since then she has substituted in the Denver High Schools and acted as reader and Chaperon for the University of

Denver Male Glee Club. Miss Rowell also taught oratory in Mrs. Peck's Training School for Girls and she is now head of the Department of Expression and Physical Culture in Central College, Lexington, Missouri.

ELLEN JOSEPHINE PETERSON acting chairman of THE TRIANGLE Finance Committee, was born at Jemtland, of the town of New Sweden in northern Maine. After attending the district school and taking a year in the Caribou Grammar School, she entered the Caribou High School, that being the school nearest her home town, and graduated in 1903. She taught summers in the schools of New Sweden. In the fall of 1903, she entered Colby College and became a member of Alpha Chapter of Sigma Kappa. While in college she was appointed to sophomore declamation, received the first German prize, was graduated with Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors in 1907. In the fall she began teaching French and

German at Coburn Classical Institute, Waterville, Me., which position she still holds. Since she has been an alumna, she has been a member of the Waterville Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Kappa, serving one year as secretary and last year as president. She was one of the delegates to the 1911 Convention at West Newton, Mass.

of the Finance Committee of the TRIANGLE, is a member of Epsilon Chapter. She graduated from Syracuse University in June, 1910 with the degree Ph. B. She was born in Canton, N. Y., in 1889 but has resided in Gowanda, N. Y. for the past ten years. During her four years in college she had an active interest in all Sigma Kappa affairs and is still aiming to be a helpful member to her Sorority.

Sister Salsman was educated in the Portland High School class of 1899, entered Colby College in the fall of 1900, joined Sigma Kappa, received degree of Bachelor of Arts in 1904, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She taught in Bakersfield, Vt. 1904-5, Washington Academy, East Machias, Maine, 1905-7, Quincy High School, Quincy, Massachusetts, 1907-11, and Chairman of Exten

GRACE ADA SMALL

of our new Extension Committee, was born and educated in Somerville, Massachusetts; graduated from Boston University in 1904; was a charter member of Delta Chapter and organizer of Boston Alumnae Chapter which she served as president for three years.

She has attended all the conventions but one and consequently has had the privilege of meeting representatives from every chapter. Miss

Small was present at the institution of Lambda, Mu, and Nu chapters in official capacity. She is a teacher, associated with her sister in the English department of the Brockton High School, Brockton, Massachusetts. As all Sigma sisters know she was the founder of THE TRIANGLE as well as its Editor for the last four years.
