The following appropriations are recommended for this insti

tution:

1. For Maintenance for the fiscal year beginning

October 1, 1911....

2. New hospital buildings

This is to provide about one-half of the money that will be required to perfect the proposed plan of the institution. Part of the patients are housed in the barns which were temporarily remodeled to meet present conditions. There is a waiting list of over 200, while their present capacity is 49. One hundred thousand dollars was recommended last year. It was reduced to $50,000 by the Legislature and that amount passed but it was vetoed by the Governor, it is understood, because of lack of funds.

3. For railroad switch and filling in swamp...

This is essential for completing a railroad switch and for filling in the swamp at the rear of the hospital.

$24,000 00

100,000 00

3,000 00

4. Repairs and equipment....

This is to keep up the institution generally. There are 4 buildings, two of which are condemned; owing to congested conditions these buildings must be kept up. The value of the real estate is $47,000.

$1,500 00

The following statement of the disposition of the appropriations for extraordinary repairs and improvements is brought up to the date of calculation, which is February 1, 1911; this having been done with a view to giving an exact knowledge that subsequent requirements might be more closely estimated:
