Moved and seconded that the mailing list for drug supplies and thermometers be increased to include the following:

Samples of lubricating oils were submitted to the Health Department for test. The Department reported to the Committee that they were unable to make test required, as their labratory was not equipped for such work, and the samples, were therefore, returned. The secretary was instructed to take the matter up with the Agricultural Department.

Moved and seconded that Chairman of the Committee be given full power to act in regard to letting contracts for oil upon receipt of information regarding test. Adopted.

No bids were received on ammonia, tallow and farm food.

Contract for soda and milk crackers, whole rice, fancy syrup, canned corn, canned peas, succotash and tomatoes were awarded on superior sample.

On motion, duly seconded and adopted, all bids for broken rice and syrup, good, were rejected.

Moved and seconded that all bids on Wyandotte soda be rejected, the specifications changed to include "or approved equal," and new bids asked for. Adopted.

No sample accompanied DeGroff & Son's bid for raisins; Linington's bid for macaroni and De Groff's bid for tapioca.

On motion. duly seconded and adopted, Secretary was instructed to ask for samples of figs when making up the next specifications.

Moved and seconded that a higher grade of tea be included in the specifications.

Adopted.

Moved and seconded that farm food be stricken from list of contract articles. Adopted.

Moved and seconded that imperishable articles that can be purchased in three months' supply be added, so far as possible, to the rest of contract articles. That permits be obtained from the Comptroller to purchase three months' supplies, the object being to save two unnecessary freight bills. Adopted.

Chairman and Dr. Nevin were appointed a committee of two to execute contracts.

Secretary was instructed to ask for bids on bituminous coal for Batavia on the B. T. U. basis for the six months period ending April 30, 1911, and for bids on carbon filament lamps for five months beginning November 1,

1910.

Moved and seconded that the Fiscal Supervisor be asked to call a meeting of the Committee October 21, at 9 A. M.

On motion duly seconded and adopted, Committee adjourned subject to the call of the Fiscal Supervisor.

The party of the first part to purchase from the party of the second part, and the party of the second art to sell and deliver to the party of the first part, f. o. b., at the times and places and in the manner and under the conditions set forth in the specifications and bid, copies of which are hereto attached, and which are made a part hereof, the sheets thereof being marked, 1, 2, 3, 4, etc., the goods, wares and merchandise mentioned in said specifications at the prices set forth in said specifications, it being understood that such articles only are to be furnished for which a price is stated therein being the prices at which this contract was awarded to the party of the second part at the letting thereof.
