That it may please thee to bless thy servant, our Sovereign, the Queen, to rule her heart in thy faith, fear, and love, to replenish her with the grace of thy Holy Spirit, that she may always incline to thy will, and walk in thy way; and that, finally, after this life, she may attain everlasting joy and felicity, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

That it may please thee to bless and preserve every member of the Royal Family,

That it may please thee to bless, protect, and guide the Magistrates and Judges of the land, giving them grace to execute justice and to maintain truth.

[That it may please thee to take under thy gracious protection and guidance the high Court of Parliament, at this time assembled ; that all things may be so ordered by their endeavours, under thy blessing, that peace and happiness, truth and justice, pure religion and piety, may be established among us for all generations.]

That it may please thee to succour, help, and comfort, all that are in danger, necessity, and tribulation; to defend and provide for the fatherless children and widows, and all that are desolate and oppressed.

That it may please thee to succour and support such of thy servants as are persecuted for conscience' sake, to bring into the way of truth all such as have erred, and are deceived; and to give to all thy people increase of grace, to hear meekly thy word, to receive it with pure affection, and to bring forth the fruits of the Spirit.

CONCLUDING PRAYER.

Almighty God, our heavenly Father, who hast permitted us at this time, with one accord, to make our common supplications unto thee; fulfil now, O Lord, we beseech thee, the desires and petitions of thy servants, as may be most expedient for them, granting us in this world, knowledge of thy truth, and in the world to come, life everlasting. Amen.

BLESSING.

Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ, be with us all evermore. Amen.

SECOND FORM FOR WORSHIP ON THE LORD'S DAY.

SCRIPTURE SENTENCES.

"Trust in the Lord at all times, ye people ; pour out your hearts before him; for God is our refuge." Psalm lxii. 8.

"Seek ye the Lord, while he may be found; call ye upon him, while he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts, and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him-unto our God, for he will abundantly pardon." Isaiah lv. 6, 7.

"The hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a spirit, and they who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." John iv. 23, 24.

"O come, let us worship and bow down before the Lord our Maker."
