IT 111 pr0pofed, as was intimated before, to enlarge chiefly on that great and happy event, which is the principal, and more immediate occalion, of our pubi lic rejmcing and thankfgivings at this time. My dill couffe in the afternoon, will be in a manner confined to this event; which will allo employ mere of our time this morning, than any Other particular one. However, it is humbly conceived, there will be no impropriety in taking a little larger compal's, and cap tending our views, on this occalion, even beyond A merica. Accordingly, ifyou pleafe, We will introduce this interelting affair, the reduction or furrender of the capital city oi Canada, by taking a tranlient view of (ome other of our late military fucceli'es, which pre ceeded 1t looking back to the principal of thol'e, which have come to our knowledge lince the time of our lali general andt'public thankfgiving and connecting thele later with former ones, which were taken notice of on that occafion.
