PART 1-CUSTOMS ENFORCEMENT AREAS

Section 1.1 Establishment of Customs Enforcement Areas. Pursuant to the authority contained in sec. 1 of the Act of August 5, 1935 (49 Stat. 517; 19 U.S.C., Sup., 1701 (a)), the President has by proclamation established the following customs enforcement areas: Customs Enforcement Area No. 1, Proc. 2131, Aug. 7, 1935 (49 Stat. 3462); Customs Enforcement Area No. 2, Proc. 2132, Aug. 27, 1935 (49 Stat. 3464); Customs Enforcement Area No. 3, Proc. 2149, Dec. 7, 1935 (49 Stat. 3484); Customs Enforcement Area No. 4, Proc. 2150, Dec. 7, 1935 (49 Stat. 3485); and Customs Enforcement Area No. 5, Proc. 2152, Dec. 27, 1935 (49 Stat. 3488).

Section 2.1 Persons, vessels, etc., to which applicable. The provisions of the Convention for the Regulation of Whaling, The Whaling Treaty Act (49 Stat. 1246; 16 U.S.C., Sup., 901-915), and this part apply to all nationals, vessels, and boats of the United States in all the waters of the world, and to all persons, vessels, and boats in the United States, its territories and possessions, including the territorial waters thereof.*t

2.2 Baleens or whalebone whales; definitions. For the purposes of this part, baleens or whalebone whales included within the terms of the Convention for the Regulation of Whaling and The Whaling Treaty Act shall be deemed to include, among others, those listed below:
