SEC. 2. All acts and parts of acts inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.

AN ACT IN AMENDMENT OF CHAPTER 696, OF THE PUBLIC LAWS,
ENTITLED "AN ACT TO ESTABLISH A HARBOR LINE IN THE CITY
OF PROVIDENCE, ON THE WESTERLY SIDE OF THE RIVER, FROM
CRAWFORD STREET BRIDGE TO POINT STREET BRIDGE."

[Passed April 17, 1879.]

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. The harbor line of Providence river on the westerly side thereof, between the angle in the harbor line established by the act to which this is an amendment, which said angle lies in an easterly continuation of Peck street, and is marked L on the plan of the aforesaid harbor line referred to in the aforesaid act, and Point street bridge, is hereby established as follows, viz.:

Beginning at the aforesaid angle, thence deflecting to the left an angle of 0° 16' 57" from the line LH as shown on the aforesaid plan and as described in the aforesaid act; and running southerly a distance of 1,041.00 feet, to a point lying 5.13 feet easterly of the aforesaid line LH, measured on a line at right angles thereto, thence running southerly and more westerly at an enclosed angle of 179° 54′ 42′′ with the last defined line, a distance of 516.65 feet to the northeasterly corner of the western abutment of Point street bridge, which said corner lies 6.88 feet easterly of the aforesaid line LH measured on a line at right angles thereto. For a further description of the line hereby established, reference is to be had to the aforesaid plan.

SEC. 2. The structure now existing at the end of Dorrance street wharf and easterly of the line hereby established, shall not be subject to removal under section 5, of chapter 611 of the Public Laws, so long as it does not need repair or rebuilding; but when rebuilt or repaired it shall be so changed as to lie westerly of the aforesaid line and be subject to all the laws regulating the construction of wharves.

SEC. 3. All acts and parts of acts inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.

AN ACT TO ESTABLISH A HARBOR LINE ON THE WESTERLY SIDE OF PROVIDENCE RIVER NEAR SASSAFRAS AND FIELD'S POINTS.

[Passed April 16, 1880.]

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. A harbor line on the westerly side of Providence river near Sassafras and Field's Points is hereby established as follows, viz.: Beginning at a point marked "a" on a plan designed by the harbor commissioners, October 22, 1879, and on file in the office of the secretary of state, which said point is in latitude south 36,160.55 feet, longitude east 38,938.14 feet, and is the same point described in chapter xxvii of the ordinances of the city of Providence, establishing a harbor line on the west side of Providence river, as "one hundred and sixty (160) feet west of the centre of the first dolphin north of Sassafras Point," which said point is distant from the obelisk at Sassafras Point one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight and forty-eight one-hundredths (1,938.48) feet, measured on a line, which forms with the line passing through the obelisk and Sassafras Point Light, an angle of fifty-six degrees, twenty-four minutes and forty-nine seconds (56° 24′ 49′′) measured to the left of the last named line; thence running from said point "a" in a southeasterly direction forming an angle of eighteen degrees, twenty-six minutes and fifty-one seconds (18° 26′ 51′′) towards the east from the line from "a" to the obelisk, to and through the point marked "b" on the before mentioned plan, to high-water line, two hundred and sixty (260) feet beyond said point "b."

Said point "b" is on the westernmost extremity of the ridge line of the main part of the clam-house at Field's Point and in latitude south 39,827.88 feet, longitude east 42,284.92 feet.

The latitudes of points are given in feet and hundredths southerly from a parallel of latitude situated forty thousand feet north of U. S. Coast Survey Station at Fort Independence, and the longitudes are given in feet and hundredths easterly from a line parallel with the meridian of the U. S. Coast Survey Station at Fort Independence and situated forty thousand feet westerly thereof.

For a further description of said harbor line, reference is to be had to a map thereof, designed by the harbor commissioners, October 22, 1879, and on file as aforesaid.

SEC. 2. All acts and parts of acts inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.

HARBOR LINES FROM FIELD'S POINT TO ROCK ISLAND, INCLUDING PAWTUXET COVE.

Beginning at a point marked "c" on a plan designed by the harbor commissioners January 26, 1881, and on file in the office of the secretary of state, which said point is in latitude south 40,019.93 feet, longitude east 42,460.18 feet, and is the same point described in chapter 819 of the Public Laws passed at the January session of the general assembly, A. D. 1880, as 260 feet beyond the point marked "b" on a plan designed by the harbor commissioners, October 22, 1879; thence running from said point "c" south 31° 53′ 00′′ east four hundred and twenty (420) feet to a point marked "d" on said plan of January 26, 1881, in latitude south 40,376.56 feet, longitude east 42,682.02 feet; thence running on a curve of twelve hundred (1,200) feet radius the center of which said curve is marked "e" on said plan of January 26, 1881, and is in latitude south 39,720.95 feet, longitude east 41,676.95 feet, a distance of five hundred and sixty-five and forty-nine one-hundredths (565.49) feet to a point marked "f" on said plan of January 26, 1881, in latitude south 40,761.40 feet, longitude east 42,274.83 feet; thence running on a tangent to the afore-mentioned curve south 60° 07′ 00′′ west, seven hundred (700) feet to a point marked "g" on said plan of January 26, 1881, in latitude south 41,110.16 feet, longitude east 41,667.90 feet; thence running on a curve of one thousand (1,000) feet radius, the center of which said curve is marked "h" on said plan of January 26, 1881, and is in latitude south 41,977.20 feet, longitude east 42,164.14 feet, a distance of seven hundred and eighty-one and three one-hundredths (781.03) feet, to a point marked "i" on said plan of January 26, 1881, in latitude south 41,712.21 feet, longitude east 41,201.89 feet; thence running south 15° 22' 00" west, fifteen hundred and twenty (1,520) feet to a point marked "j" on said plan of January 26, 1881, in latitude south 43,177.87 feet, longitude east 40,799.10 feet; thence running on a curve of one thousand (1,000) feet radius, the center of which said curve is marked "k" on said plan of January 26, 1881, and is in latitude south 43,442.86 feet, longitude east 41,763.35 feet, a distance of three hundred and thirty-four and fifty-two hundredths (334.52) feet to a point marked "1" on said plan of January 26, 1881, in latitude south 43,509.14 feet, longitude east 40,765.55 feet; thence running south 3° 48′ 00′′ east, twenty-two hundred (2,200) feet, to a point marked "m" on said plan of January 26, 1881, in latitude south 45,704.30 feet, longitude east 40,911.35 feet; thence running on a curve of one thousand (1,000) feet radius, the centre of which said curve is marked "n" on said plan of January 26, 1881, and is in latitude south 45,638.00 feet, longitude east 41,909.15 feet, a distance of
