For a further description of said harbor lines, reference is had to a map thereof designed by the harbor commissioners, January 26, 1881, and on file as aforesaid.

RESOLUTION approving the harbor lines in Providence river from Field's Point to Rock Island, including Pawtuxet Cove (pursuant to the foregoing communication).

Resolved, That the harbor lines from Field's Point to Rock Island, including Pawtuxet Cove, as marked and platted by the harbor commissioners on the plat and accompanying description submitted by them at the present session, be and are hereby approved.

AN ACT TO ESTABLISH A HARBOR LINE IN THE CITY OF PROVIDENCE ON THE WESTERLY SIDE OF THE RIVER FROM POINT STREET BRIDGE TO HENDERSON STREET.

[Passed April 12, 1883.]

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. The harbor line of Providence river on the westerly side thereof, between Point street bridge and Henderson street, is hereby established as follows, viz.: Beginning at the southeast corner of the bridge seat at the top of the west abutment of Point street bridge marked "a" on the accompanying plan, in latitude 30,972.83 south, longitude 36,646.20 east, which said point is on the accompanying plan; and thence running south 23° 40′ 16′′ east, a distance of 2,146.19 feet in a straight line to a point on the line assumed as the north line of Henderson street, marked "b" on the accompanying plans, where it also intersects the harbor line established by an ordinance passed by the city council of

the city of Providence, A. D. 1855, by authority from the general assembly, and which said point is in latitude south 32,938.45, longitude east 37,507,86, and which said point is also 1,008.49 feet easterly, measured on said assumed north line of Henderson street, from the intersection of said assumed north line of Henderson street with the easterly line of the brickwork of the American Screw Company's stable, just above the granite underpinning, marked "c" on the accompanying plan, all of which is more fully shown on the accompanying plan.

In the above description the latitudes are given in feet and hundredths, southerly from a line at right angles to the meridian of the United States coast survey station at Fort Independence, and 40,000 feet northerly thereof, and the longitudes are given in feet and hundredths, easterly from a line parallel with the meridian of the United States coast survey station at Fort Independence, and 40,000 feet westerly thereof. The course given is from a line parallel with said meridian of the United States coast survey station at Fort Independence. SEC. 2. All acts and parts of acts inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.

DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED HARBOR LINE ON THE WEST SIDE OF PAWTUCKET RIVER FROM BENSLEY'S POINT TO RED BRIDGE.

Beginning at the southerly termination of the harbor line at Bensley's Point, on the west side of Pawtucket harbor, established by approval of the governor and senate, April 8th, 1878, and shown on a map of "Harbor lines in Pawtucket river, designed January 17th, 1878," on record in the office of the harbor commissioners, and which said point is also shown and marked K on the map accom- . panying this description, and is in latitude south 14,293.91 feet, longitude east 43,537.55 feet; thence running south 0° 54′ 51′′ east a distance of 2,164.36 feet to a point in range with the fence separating Riverside Cemetery from Swan Point Cemetery, marked "I" on the accompanying plan, in latitude south 16,458.00 feet, longitude east 43,572.00 feet; thence running S. 13° 02′ 41′′ E. a distance of 3,207.94 feet, to a point in range with the north line of the Swan Point Cemetery wharf, and 20 feet easterly thereof, marked "m" on the accompanying plan, in latitude south 19,583.15 feet, longitude east 44,296.07 feet; thence running S. 12° 56′ 25′′ W. a distance of 1,264.06 feet, to an angle marked "n" on the accompanying plan in latitude south 20,815.11 feet, longitude east 44,013.00 feet; thence running S. 2° 19′ 13′′ W. a distance of 1,337.39 feet, passing through the northeast corner of the Butler Hospital wharf, to an angle marked “o” on the accompanying plan, in latitude south 22,151.40 feet, longitude east 43,958.86

feet; thence running south 17° 43′ 50′′ W. a distance of 341.02 feet, passing through the southeast corner of the Butler Hospital wharf, to an angle marked "p" on the accompanying plan, in latitude south 22,476.22 feet, longitude east 43,855.00 feet; thence running S. 1° 48′ 23′′ E. a distance of 2,700.14 feet to the northerly tangent point of a curve marked "q" on the accompanying plan, in latitude south 25,235.00 feet, longitude east 43,942.00 feet; thence following a curve of 1,000 feet radius, the center of which is marked "r" on the accompanying plan and is in latitude south 25,266.52 feet, longitude east 42,942.50 feet a distance of 418.45 feet to the southerly tangent point of said curve, marked "s" on the accompanying plan, in latitude south 25,643.86 feet, longitude east 43,868.57 feet; thence running S. 22° 10′ 08′′ W. a distance of 1,999.57 feet to the northeast corner of the west abutment of Red bridge, marked "t" on the accompanying plan, in latitude south 27,495.62 feet, longitude east 43,114.06 feet; thence running S. 31° 26' 03° W., following the face of the west abutment of Red bridge, a distance of 31.05 feet, to the southeast corner of the west abutment of Red bridge, marked "u" on the accompanying plan, in latitude south 27,522.11 feet, longitude east 43,097.87 feet; which said point is the most northerly point of the harbor line on the west side of Seekonk river, from Bower street to Red bridge, established by approval of the governor and senate, April 8th, 1878, and shown on a map of "Harbor lines in Seekonk River, designed Jan. 17th, 1878," on record in the office of the harbor commissioners.

The latitudes are given in feet and hundredths from a line at right angles to the meridian of the U. S. coast survey station at Fort Independence and 40,000 feet northerly thereof, and the longitudes are given in feet and hundredths easterly from a line parallel with the meridian of the U. S. coast survey station at Fort Independence and 40,000 feet westerly thereof.

The courses are given from lines parallel with the meridian of the U. S. Coast survey station at Fort Independence.

RESOLUTION approving the harbor line on the west side of Pawtucket river from Bensley's Point to Red bridge (pursuant to the foregoing communication).

AN ACT IN AMENDMENT OF "AN ACT TO ESTABLISH A HARBOR LINE IN THE HARBOR IN THE CITY OF PROVIDENCE, BETWEEN FOX POINT AND THE RAILROAD BRIDGE AT INDIA POINT," PASSED AT THE JANUARY SESSION, A. D. 1865.

[Passed April 10, 1885.]

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. The point G on a plan showing the harbor line from Fox Point to the railroad bridge at India Point, Providence, May 28, 1864, surveyed and platted by Cushing & DeWitt, and recorded in the city clerk's office, in the city of Providence, in books of plats number five, page forty-seven, is hereby established on the boundary line between adjoining owners at a distance of two hundred and twelve feet, measuring on said boundary line, from the side line of India street; and the straight lines in red ink connecting point F with the point G in the location herein defined, and said point G with point H shall be the harbor line between said points F and H.

SEC. 2. This act shall take effect from and after its passage.

AN ACT TO ESTABLISH A HARBOR LINE IN WICKFORD HARBOR FROM QUONSET POINT TO ROWE'S POINT, NEAR BISSELL'S COVE.

[Passed April 14, 1885.]

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. The harbor line of Wickford harbor is hereby established as follows, viz.: Beginning near Quonset Point at a point marked "a" on the accompanying plans, said point being situated in latitude south 114,357.94 feet, longitude east 36,586.23 feet; thence running southerly and westerly on a curve of 400 feet radius, the center of which is a triangulation station marked “Quonset (1883)," on the accompanying plans, and is in latitude south 114,556.99 feet, longitude east 36,239.27 feet, a distance of 894.25 feet to a tangent point of said curve marked "b" on the accompanying plans, and which said tangent point is in latitude south 114,952.85 feet, longitude east 36,181.87 feet; thence running north 81° 45' 0", west 470.00 feet to a point marked "c" on the accompanying plans, which is in latitude south 114,805.41 feet, longitude east 35,716.73 feet; thence running south 73° 50′ 56′′ west 6,451.36 feet to a point marked "d" on the accompanying plans which is in latitude south 116,680.00 feet, longitude east

29,520.00 feet; thence running south 42° 44′ 07′′ west 2,505.12 feet to a point marked "e" on the accompanying plans, which is in latitude south 118,520.00 feet, longitude east 27,820.00 feet; thence running southwesterly and northwesterly on a curve of 1,074.68 feet radius, the center of which is marked "f” on the accompanying plans and is in latitude south 117,790.71 feet, longitude east 27,030.65 feet, a distance of 1,824.37 feet to a point marked "g" on the accompanying plans, which is in latitude south 118,481.5024 feet, longitude east 26,207.40 feet.

Then beginning again at a point marked "h" on the accompanying plans, and which is in latitude south 117,860.00 feet, longitude east 26,120.00 feet; thence running south 60° 45′ 04′′ west 1,146.12 feet to a point marked "i" on the accompanying plans, which is in latitude south 118,420.00 feet, longitude east 25,120.00 feet; thence running north 76° 45′ 34′′ west 349.28 feet to a point marked "j" on the accompanying plans, which is in latitude south 118,340.00 feet, longitude east 24,780.00 feet.

Then beginning again at the northeast corner of the "Point wharf," so called, marked "k" on the accompanying plans in latitude south 118,598.34 feet, longitude east 24,853.49 feet; thence running south 53° 31′ 21′′ east 108.07 feet to a point marked "1" on the accompanying plans in latitude south 118,662.59 feet, longitude east 24,940.40 feet; thence running south 21° 44′ 20′′ east 1,580.00 feet to the northeast corner of "Gardner's wharf," so called, marked "m" on the accompanying plans, which is in latitude south 120,130.22 feet, longitude east 25,525.60 feet; thence running south 17° 34′ 52′′ west on a line passing through the northeast corner of "Rodman's wharf," so called, a distance of 337.06 feet to a point marked “n” on the accompanying plans, which is in latitude south 120,451.48 feet, longitude east 25,423.81 feet; thence running south 55° 12′ 00′′ west 148.00 feet to a point marked "o" on the accompanying plans, which is in latitude south 120,535.95 feet, 48 longitude east 25,302.28 feet; thence running north 83° 20′ 43′′ west 240.67 feet to a point marked "p" on the accompanying plans, which is in latitude south 120,508.13 feet, longitude east 25,063.23 feet; thence running south 9° 00′ 00′′ west 430.00 feet to a point marked "q” on the accompanying plans, which is in latitude south 120,932.83 feet, longitude east 24,995.96 feet; thence running north 89° 27′ 00′′ west 1,320 feet to the southeast corner of the "Armory wharf," so called, marked "r" on the accompanying plan, which is in latitude south 120,920.16 feet, longitude east 23,676.02 feet; thence running north 68° 06′ 17′′, west 116.62 feet, following the river wall along the southern face of said "Armory wharf," to a point on the east side of the Bridge street bridge, marked "s" on the accompanying plan, which is in latitude south 120,876.67 feet, longitude east 23,567.81 feet.
