I have taken the body of the within named J. S. who remains in my custody, so sick, weak, and infirm, that, without great danger of his death, I cannot have his body before the court, as I am commanded.

R. of then and there made an assault upon me, and did, then and there, with force and arms, rescue the said J. S. out of my custody. And the said J. S. did then and there, with force and arms, withdraw and escape from my custody; and afterward the said J. S. was not found in my county, JOHN DEN, Sh'ff.

In obedience to this writ, on the

day of 1832, I arrested and took into my custody the within named A. B. at in said county; whereupon the said A. B. together with other persons unknown, with force

and arms, at aforesaid, made an assault upon me, and did then and there rescue himself, and escape from my custody; and the said A. B. was not afterward found in my county. JOHN DEN, Sh'ff.

In obedience to the within writ, on the tenth day of July 1832, I caused R. S. the widow in said writ named, to have full seizin of one-third part of the messuage, with the appurtenances, in said writ specified, to wit, one lower room in front of said messuage, and a back chamber in the east end of the same, now in tenure of D. S. with free ingress and egress to and from the same respectively, to hold to the said R. S. in severalty, as the whole dower of her the said R. S. of all the lands in said writ specified, as by the same writ I am commanded. JOHN DEN, Sh'ff.

Of the goods and chattels of the said D. E. I have levied the debt and damages in the within writ specified, and have the money now here in court, as by the said writ I am commanded.

I have levied of the goods and chattels of the within named E. F. to the value of the debt and damages within mentioned, which goods and chattels remain in my hands unsold, for want of buyers; therefore I cannot have the money within mentioned before the court, as by said writ I am commanded.

I have levied and made, of the goods and chattels of the within named G. H. the sum of parcel of the debt and damages within mentioned, which moneys I have now here in court, as I am commanded; and the aforesaid G. H. has no other goods or chattels, lands or tenements in my county, whereof I can levy and make the residue of the said debt.

Of the goods and chattels which were of T. H. at the time of his death, in the hands of S. D. in the within writ mentioned, to be administered, I have levied and made the sum of parcel of the debt and damages in the said writ specified; which sum I have here now in court, ready to render to T. D. in the said writ named, in part of the said debt. And the aforesaid S. D. has no other goods or chattels in my county which were of the said T. H. at the time of his death, in his hands to be administered. And the aforesaid S. D. has no goods or chattels of his own in my county, whereof I can levy and make the residue of the debt and damages aforesaid, as I am commanded.

I certify that the within named L. G. after the death of the within named K. P. had divers goods and chattels in my custody, which were of the aforesaid K. P. at the time of his death, in his hands to be administered, to the value of the debt in the within writ mentioned, but before the coming of this writ, the aforesaid L. G. had wasted, and converted to his own proper use, the goods and chattels aforesaid, to the value of the debt aforesaid, whereby I cannot levy and make the debt aforesaid of the goods and chattels aforesaid, or any part thereof as I am within commanded.

By virtue of the within writ I seized and took into my hands divers goods and chattels of the within named J. S. to the value of the debt and damages aforesaid, and the same in my custody had, until a certain J. S. junior, and W. S. with many other persons unknown, afterwards, to wit, on the day of in and upon

me did make an assault and with force and arms did then and there beat, wound and evilly treat me, and the goods and chattels aforesaid did then and there, with force and arms rescue and take out of my possession, against my will, and against the peace, &c.

The body of the within named A. B. in my custody, together with the day and cause of his caption and detention, I have now here ready before the court, as by this writ I am commanded.

B. was taken and committed to prison, in my custody, by virtue of a certain other writ, to me before directed, a true transcript whereof is hereunto annexed.
