ST. LUKE i. 28.

Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

THE character and history of the blessed Virgin Mary, honoured and revered as was her memory in the earlier and purer ages of the church, receives, it is to be feared, too little of the attention and respect of professing Christians in this age and country.
