20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, "Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and

that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall be the end of them that obey not the gospel of God?

JAMES, i. 22, 23, 25: Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you, by Jesus, whom Paul preacheth. 1 COR. xiii. 2: Though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

h Ps. cxi. 10: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments. do. cxix. 99, 130: I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. The entrance of thy words giveth light: it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Ps, xcii. 13-15: Those that be planted in the house of the LORD, shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age: they shall be fat and flourishing; To shew that the LORD is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

1 SAM. ii. 30: Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed, that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me, I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. JER. viii. 9: The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?

1JOB, viii. 13: So are the paths of all that forget God, and the hypocrite's hope shall perish. 1 Cor. iii. 13: Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

CHAP. VIII.

2 Christ cleanseth the leper, 5 healeth the centurion's servant, 14 Peter's mother in law, 16 and many other diseased: 18 sheweth how he is to be followed: 23 stilleth the tempest on the sea, 28 driveth the devils out of two men possessed, 31 and suffereth them to go into the swine.

WHEN he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him

2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

4 And Jesus saith unto him, "See thou tell no

there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment, and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
