Lord, yea, saith the Spirit, for they rest from their labours.

V. Eternal rest, give unto them, O Lord.
R7. And let perpetual light shine upon them.

O

ALMIGHTY God, unto Whom all live, we beseech Thee to remember the spirits of all flesh who have departed this life in the hope of Thy appearing, especially our parents, friends, kinsfolk, and benefactors. Grant them, O Lord, we beseech Thee, a place of refreshment, light, and peace, in the bosom of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, where all sighing and sadness are banished away, and the light of Thy countenance shineth for ever. Amen.

ALMIGHTY God, Who hast knit to

GOD, Who unto us, in the Blessed Sacrament, has left a memorial of Thy Passion, grant that we may so venerate the sacred Mysteries of Thy Body and Blood here on earth, that we may evermore perceive in ourselves the fruit of Thy Redemption, Who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen.

Antiphon.

OD forbid that I should glory, save in the

the world is crucified unto me and I unto the world.

LORD Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, Who didst descend from the bosom of the Father to this sinful earth, and on the Tree of the Cross didst endure Five Wounds, and shed forth Thy precious Blood in atonement for my sins, I humbly beseech Thee that at the Day of

Judgment I may be placed at Thy Right Hand, and be found worthy to hear those most sweet words, "Come ye blessed of my Father, receive the kingdom prepared for you," Who livest and reignest God, world without end. Amen.

GOD, Whose blessed Son was manifested that He might destroy the works of the devil, and make us the sons of God, and heirs of eternal life; Grant us, we beseech Thee, that, having this hope, we may purify ourselves, even as He is pure; that, when He shall appear again with power and great glory, we may be made like unto Him in His eternal and glorious kingdom; where with Thee, O Father, and Thee, O Holy Ghost, He liveth and reigneth, ever one God, world without end. Amen.

I. FOR HUMILITY, AGAINST PRIDE.

ALMIGHTY God, Who resistest the proud, and givest grace to the humble: mortify and kill all pride and vain glory within me; that following the steps of Thy dear Son in all lowliness, meekness, and patience, I may receive that kingdom which His merits have purchased for those who love and follow Him, through the same Jesus Christ our Lord.
