The aim of this book is to furnish simple and accurate instructions for the conduct of Every-Day Business," – such business as inevitably falls to the lot of thousands of American women, both married and single. The methods of banking, the management of a checkbook, foreign exchange, getting money in emergencies, how to send money, bills and receipts, the relations of employer and employee, relations with railroads and hotels, simple bookkeeping, on sending things, taxes and customs, the use and transference of property, stocks and bonds, wills and estates all these are clearly and even entertainingly explained, and the woman who has read the book will find herself saved daily many moments of doubt and many annoying errors. It is a book which should be in every home, on every woman's writing-table.
Miss Wilbur has been for many years a teacher of banking and political economy in Miss Dana's celebrated school at Morristown, New Jersey, and the present work is the result of practical experience in teaching the elements of correct business procedure.

A wholesome, delicious combination for the summer days when the appetite needs to be coddled with toothsome things that nourish and satisfy without disturbing the digestion. Being made in Biscuit form it is easy to prepare an appetizing, nourishing meal with Shredded Wheat on short notice. No culinary skill or experience required. Simply heat a Shredded Wheat Biscuit in the oven to restore its crispness, then cover with raspberries, or other berries, and serve with milk or cream adding sugar to suit the taste.
The porous shreds take up the fruit juices, presenting them to the palate with all the full
, rich aroma of the natural berry.

Hundreds of people were undoubtedly impressed a year ago
by the mere smartness of the Hupmobile — its beauty, its generous size, the obvious strength of its construction, the clean-cut appearance of the power plant, the very evident
use of the best materials. It took very little motor judgment or experience to see that
$750 had never bought such value before. But in the year that has elapsed since the Hupmobile made
its bow, this first judgment has been supplemented and con
firmed by a series of performances which are remarkable. The Hupmobile, in contests of speed and endurance, has re
peatedly shown itself to be the peer of cars of twice its
power and even four and five times its price. Early in the year it won cups and perfect scores, for instance,
in the Baltimore and Detroit reliability and endurance
It is prized alike by the man who owns but one car — the
Hupmobile — and the man whose private garage houses
the costliest types of American and foreign manufacture. It has made possible the joys of motoring to hundreds who.
of necessity, awaited the coming of such a car as the Hupmobile.
It carried off the palm in the Buffalo fuel economy contest. At San Francisco it made the fastest time and a perfect score
in the 200 mile annual mud plug. In its class it won the six hour race at Brighton Beach ; and
on the Los Angeles motordrome turned the mile in 58
seconds. Crossing the desert in the Phoenix-Los Angeles race the
Hupmobile took its place among the larger competing cars.
Your ideals of motor car construction may be high ; but you
will find them realized in the Hupmobile. If you have the engineer's love for fine machinery — the ex
pert's admiration for skillful workmanship - you will take
your hat off to the Hupmobile. It remains the most remarkable car the industry has produced.
