DEUS MISEREATUR. Psalm lxvii.

GOD

OD be merciful unto us, and bless us : and shew us the light of His countenance, and be merciful unto us:

That Thy way may be known upon earth: Thy saving health among all nations.

Let the people praise Thee, O God: yea, let all the people praise Thee.

O let the nations rejoice and be glad : for Thou shalt judge the folk righteously, and govern the nations upon earth.

Let the people praise Thee, O God: yea, let all the people praise Thee.

Then shall the earth bring forth her increase and God, even our own God, shall give us His blessing.

God shall bless. us and all the ends of the world shall fear Him.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son: and to the Holy Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: world without end.

Amen.

THE SECOND COLLECT AT EVENING PRAYER.

GOD, from Whom all holy desires, all good counsels and all just works do proceed; Give unto Thy servants that peace which the world cannot give, that our hearts may be set to obey Thy commandments, and also that, by Thee, we being defended from the fear of our enemies, may pass our time in rest and quiet

ness; through the merits of Jesus Christ our Saviour. Amen.

THE THIRD COLLECT FOR AID
AGAINST ALL PERILS.

LIGHTEN our darkness, we beseech

Thee, O Lord; and by Thy great mercy defend us from all perils and dangers of the coming night; for the love of Thy only Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Here may be sung a Hymn.

A PRAYER FOR THE QUEEN AND THE ROYAL FAMILY.

LORD our heavenly Father, high and mighty, King of kings, Lord of lords, the only Ruler of princes, Who dost from Thy throne behold all the dwellers upon earth; Most heartily we beseech Thee with Thy favour to behold our Sovereign Lady, Queen VICTORIA, Albert Edward Prince of Wales, the Princess of Wales, and all the Royal Family: Endue them with Thy Holy Spirit; enrich them with Thy heavenly grace; prosper them with all happiness; and bring them to Thine everlasting kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

A PRAYER FOR ALL MINISTERS AND
PEOPLE.

LMIGHTY and everlasting God, from
Whom cometh every good and per-

fect gift; Send down upon all Ministers of Thy Gospel, and all Congregations committed to their charge, the healthful spirit of Thy grace; and that they may truly please Thee, pour upon them the continual dew of Thy blessing. Grant this, O Lord, for the honour of our Advocate and Mediator, Jesus Christ. Amen.

The two Prayers following, for the Conversion of Israel and for Missionaries, shall be read from time to time at the discretion of the Minister.

A PRAYER FOR THE CONVERSION OF

ISRAEL.

GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, look in mercy, we beseech Thee, upon the tribes of Israel, Thy chosen people, whom Thou hast, according to Thy threatened judgments, dispersed among the nations of the earth. Be pleased to take the veil from their hearts, and bring them to the knowledge of Jesus as their Messiah. Hasten the glorious time when He Who scattered Israel shall gather him, and Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit; and when, from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, Thy Name shall be great among the Gentiles. Grant this for Thy dear Son's sake, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
