That the saying might be fulfilled which he

Mat. For all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then shall the Scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

John The cup which my Father hath given me, shall
I not drink it?

Luke And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far.
And he touched his ear, and healed him.
Luke Then Jesus said unto the chief priests and cap-
tains of the temple, and the elders which were
come to him,

Be ye come out as against a thief, with
swords and staves?

Mat. I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple, '
And ye laid no hold on me.
Mar. I was daily with you in the temple teaching,
And ye took me not.

Luke When I was daily with you in the temple,
Ye stretched forth no hands against me:

Luke But this is your hour, and the power of dark

ness.

Mar. But the Scriptures must be fulfilled.

Mat. But all this was done, that the Scriptures of
the prophets might be fulfilled.

Mat. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

—John And so did another disciple. That disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest. But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple which was known unto the high priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter.

Luke And when they had kindled a fire in the midst
of the hall, and were set down together,
Luke Peter sat down among them.

Mar. And he sat with the servants, and warmed

One of the servants of the high priest (being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off) saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him? Peter then denied again, and immediately the cock crew.

LukeAnd after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.
